Group insurance benefits

Health Track Insurance^®

Plan members can use Health Track Insurance to convert some of their group health insurance benefits into individual coverage when they're no longer eligible for the group plan. They can take out this coverage, without having to provide proof of good health, within 60 days of the end of their group insurance coverage.

Three benefits are included:

1. Extended healthcare insurance: reimburses certain healthcare expenses not covered by their provincial plan
2. Travel insurance: reimburses 100% of eligible emergency expenses incurred as the result of an accident or an illness occurring during the first 90 days of a trip outside their province of residence
3.  Trip cancellation insurance: reimburses eligible expenses incurred during the first 90 days of a trip

3. Voyage Assistance

Health Spending Account (HSA)

A Health Spending Account (HSA) adds value and flexibility to your existing plan. You'll have a clearer idea of your costs, which makes them easier to manage.

An HSA gets plan members more involved in planning and managing their expenses, so they're more aware of how much healthcare actually costs.

With an HSA, your plan members can:

• Personalize their healthcare plan to meet their individual needs
• Expand the range of coverages already included in the group plan
• Access a wider range of eligible expenses
• Use credits to pay deductibles and coinsurance
