Workplace wellness

Workplace wellness

Workplace wellness is a hot topic these days. How come? Probably because people seem to spend more time on the job nowadays than they do with their families!

While working folk live by the same physical wellness principles as everyone else, mental health takes on a whole new meaning in the workplace.

Mental health problems are becoming more widespread: of all the disability claims we receive in a year, over 1/3 stem from major depression, burnout and anxiety disorders.

Want to learn more about mental illness? Check out the Understanding Mental Illness section of the Canadian Mental Health Association's website.

When you're unable to work for an extended period, it can take a toll on your finances. That's why it's important to think about protecting yourself against the financial consequences of a disability.
