Desjardins Insurance is proud to have teamed up with Vancouver Whitecaps FC to support Covenant House, a charity dedicated to getting troubled youth and young adults off the street and back on the right track.
In 2014, Whitecaps FC raised over $22,000 for the
#BuckUp campaign. In addition to raising money for Covenant House, the campaign aims to encourage open discussion about mental health and end the stigma surrounding it.
This year’s campaign kicks off at the May 30 soccer match between Whitecaps FC and Real Salt Lake in Vancouver. Over 60 volunteers from Desjardins Insurance, the Whitecaps and Covenant House hope to raise $1 per fan at the game for a total of $21,000 to donate to Covenant House Vancouver (www.covenanthousebc.org External link. To help raise awareness and encourage donations, they’ve put together an inspirational video telling the story of one young adult, Ali, who successfully reintegrated into his community thanks to the support and guidance he got from Covenant House.

#BuckUp campaign, please watch this short video.

Together we can make a difference
