Linda Roberge 

Experience

A graduate of Université Laval with a degree in actuarial science, Linda Roberge is the Vice-President of Wealth Management and Life and Health Insurance IT at Desjardins.

Linda joined Desjardins as part of the Property and Casualty Insurance team in 1986. She has held management positions in corporate and operational underwriting, client relations centres and sales competency development. She was Vice-President of Claims from 2012 to 2016, and Vice-President of Strategic Programs and IT from 2016 to 2019. In January 2020, she moved into her current role in Wealth Management and Life and Health Insurance. Her career path has provided her with solid, broad-ranging experience.

Linda has excellent project management and change management skills, as evidenced by her leadership on several key national initiatives, including the acquisition of the CIBC subsidiaries in 2000, the integration of State Farm’s Canadian claims teams and her role as head of the project to overhaul Desjardins General Insurance Group’s core business systems.

Since 2009, Linda has been actively invested in updating paradigms and procedures, while never losing sight of what’s best for clients and employees. She has made these kinds of changes in areas such as business strategy, people management, succession planning and development, change management and communication approaches, solution designs and operations management.

She firmly believes that the key to an organization’s success is happy employees. Employees who are happy and fulfilled, both individually and as a group, will provide an experience that will win clients over and build their trust in the organization. Linda is known for being client-focused and results-oriented, as well as for her ability to think through and overcome complex challenges. She is someone who keeps the ball rolling.
