Vice-President and Executive Sponsor, Wealth Management and Life and Health Insurance Modernization Programs
Éléna Simard-Veilleux joined Desjardins in 2017, bringing with her a sense of dedication and curiosity. She began her cooperative journey in the Property and Casualty Insurance IT Division, where she quickly made a name for herself as a genuine leader with sharp reasoning skills. This enabled her to successfully tackle challenges in risk management, compliance, information security and strategic IT program management. Building on this experience, she joined Desjardins Financial Security’s management team in the spring of 2021, and once again made an impression on those around her.
In 2022, she was appointed Vice-President and Executive Sponsor for the Wealth Management and Life and Health Insurance Modernization Programs. This key role involves spearheading a major initiative to strengthen, simplify and modernize the business and IT ecosystems of these two business sectors.
Éléna has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in management accounting. She is also an accredited CPA auditor and chartered accountant.
