We're committed to supporting you

The situation we're experiencing may be unprecedented, but one thing hasn't changed: We're here for you and always will be. Our teams are putting their all into helping you manage your plan with ease while helping plan members stay healthy and well.

Support measures for plan sponsors

Renewals

PerformPlus groups (generally under 50 lives)

  • Renewals coming up on May 1 will be deferred to July 1
  • Renewals coming up on June 1 will be deferred to August 1
  • Renewals coming up on July 1 will be deferred to September 1

Non-refund groups under 500 lives

We’ll review deferral requests on a case-by-case basis.

Premium payments

PerformPlus (generally under 50 lives)

We’ve extended the contractual premium grace period by 30 days. This will measure be in place until June 2020.

Non-refund groups under 500 lives

We will review these on a case-by-case basis.

Dental premium credits

Although dental clinics are reopening across the country, we expect the volume of claims will remain lower than usual. Also, we know that the overall financial impact of the pandemic is still a concern for many of you. Therefore, we’re extending the credit for one more month to help you through this challenging time.

The billing will work the same way it did for April and May. If you are a non-refund client, you will receive a 70% dental premium credit for the month of June:

  • If you receive a monthly bill from us, we’ll automatically apply the June credit to your July bill. You don’t have to do anything.
  • If you produce your own monthly bills, please submit the reduced amounts on your billing statements, applying the June credit to your July statement.

Maintaining benefits during temporary layoffs and unpaid leaves of absence

Whether or not you have a temporary layoff or unpaid leave of absence contractual clause, we're offering you the following options:

  • Maintain all benefits, including Disability benefits
  • Maintain all benefits, except Disability benefits
  • Terminate all benefits

Your decision will be applicable to the entire contract until August 31, 2020. As per our usual process, the disability elimination period will begin on the plan member's scheduled return-to-work date.

Please note that, due to RAMQ requirements in Quebec, Extended Health Care must be maintained if any benefit except Life is extended.

Operational changes

Printing of insurance certificates temporarily suspended

Due to government recommendations urging Canadians to practice social distancing, we've had to adapt some of our activities to protect the health of our employees and their families.

Printing and mailing of insurance certificates

We have temporarily stopped printing and sending out insurance certificates, and deactivated the functionality allowing you to order insurance certificates via your secure site.

Online services

Please encourage plan members to register for our online services or download the Omni mobile app and give them their contract and certificate numbers so they can do so. This way they’ll continue to have access to the information found on their insurance certificates.

Support measures for plan members

We've also introduced new services and support measures for plan members to ensure they can continue to access health professionals and be reimbursed for the care they receive.
