In case of a medical emergency while you’re travelling

  • Directs you to doctors, hospitals or clinics, and our specialized physicians and nurses monitor your case
  • Helps get you admitted to a hospital or clinic
  • Coordinates return travel to your home city
  • Sends messages to your loved ones

In other emergency situations

  • Helps with lost or stolen luggage, legal issues or interpretation (if you don’t speak the language of the country you’re visiting)1

What to do in an emergency

Call our Travel Assistance service BEFORE you go to the hospital or clinic and follow their instructions.

If you can’t call yourself (e.g., if you’re unconscious), someone else will have to call for you within 24 hours of your accident or illness.

If you’re travelling alone, we recommend that you keep your travel insurance card on you at all times.
